Undergoing through manufacturing environment at General Tyre was quite new and unique as it is one of the leading rubber company among a few companies of similar domain. It is really appreciable and overwhelming for those who experience such medium for first time. Internship period spent well with employees and other interns, no doubt each division is easy-going with interns and cooperative. I would praise their welcoming, friendly and ever guiding positive attitude toward me that is very admiring and pursuing and it can be assumed as a standard for the development of strong rapports.
The four-week internship at General Tyre & Rubber Industry was assortment of learning and astonishment. On the one hand industry’s tremendous achievement of profit and progress was witnessed and on the other hand old machinery with lack of maintenance was seen. Everyday there was something new for learning which I would have never learnt if I were in other industry. It is the appreciable factor that industry has a lot of experience staff and workers, who were seen giving their maximum efforts making possible to compete industry’s objective. In fact, it cannot be neglected, industry must advance it machinery and testing facility so that it become possible to attain futuristic targets.

Supply Chain Management is primarily concerned with the efficient integration of suppliers, factories, warehouses and stores so that merchandise is produced and distributed in the right quantities, to the right locations and at the right time, and so as to minimize total system cost subject to satisfying service requirements.
This experience is basically composed to understand the process of supply chain operation carried out at Merck Pakistan that how this company copes up with the varying demands and then how demand is put into consideration after being well forecasted by marketing department through previous sales record. For the sake of quality this company has already made untiring efforts finding good suppliers over the globe where the suppliers has to go through rigorous screening process for the approval of their supply at the time of vendor’s approval. The production takes place after the supply has been made to the company’s ware house successfully according to the plan made by planning section. Finally, then sales take place through distributors which are the main customers for any company producing massive quantities.
Complicities are always there as it is not straight forward as it is initially defined. As most of the supplies come through import and for import company has to fulfill many formalities like filing G.D. (Good Declaration) and to pay custom duties, getting NOC for drugs being used in manufacturing and other problems have to be managed by this company. It was 8 weeks management internship program at Operational procurement at Supply Network Operations and following are the learning outcomes

· Checking the mode of transport of various items
· Understanding of toll manufacturing
· Understanding of different payment terms and conditions
· I Form filling, Pay Orders requisition, G.I.T. entry
· Understanding of Custom Clearance process
· Reviewing different documents for calculation errors
After passing two semesters at university, I spent by working at Dar ul Sukoon in summer vacations as a volunteer to complete community service hours with following learning outcomes:
